I've got a solution! It works great with my vista system, so I'm hoping it'll help someone out there too!ġ) Uninstall all pre-existing m-audio drivers conencted with mobilepre and unplug the unit. I'd been having this problem with my M-Audio mobilepre usb running under vista. The information on the error is:Īdditional information about the problem:Ĭ:\Users\Patrick\AppData\Local\Temp\Ĭ:\Users\Patrick\AppData\Local\Temp\ It provides information upon restart as to the source of the problem (but I'm not exactly codewriter so I am looking for any help. I installed the new vista driver and everything works fine until suddenly the computer goes to bluescreen and restarts. I'm having a shutdown problem with my m-audio mobile pre usb and my new vista 32-bit system. I have it set to mono and after i record i hear in left and right but not before why? While monitoring my levels before recording on adobe audition I cant hear my mic chk in both ears with my headphones. Then download the drivers from the m-audio webpage (or google m-audio mobilepre drivers) follow the instructions, and it should work (without the underwater effects!) All you have to do is uninstall all the mobilepre driver(the old version) and make sure you unplug the mobile too. I can get a recording but it sounds horrible, as if my guitar was underwater. My mobilepre is also not working on vista. If you read this again, let me know if that worked. However, once I reinstalled and used the same USB port - everything worked out fine. I also had the issue with not running a legacy cpl elevated. i cannot record and i would like some some help from anyone that can help me with this problem Thank you in advance, and if I'm barking up the wrong tree forum-wise, or the hardware should simply be written off, I understand, just crossing my fingers here.Ive tried everything to get my mobilepre usb running on my new vista laptop but it says that it cannot open it because its says it cannot run a legacy cpl elevated and will not let my open my programs. Very eager to get some recording done, and not particularly in a place to spend cash on an older desktop or operating system, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The MobilePre software recognizes the 1.1.8 driver installation, but perpetually displaya "Hardware Not Connected" and recognizes the preamp only as a sound output. I found a driver that supposedly supports the model, here:īut after installing those drivers, restarting, unplugging, plugging, so on and so forth, I can't get the machine to recognize. I'm also aware that M-Audio has discontinued support and that the model remains with Avid, and I've done extensive searching for fixes and driver updates. I'm aware that it's an older machine, it's this one to be exact: A band mate of mine lent me his M-Audio MobilePre USB preamp and I'm having a devil of a time getting it to run in Windows 8.
